Bio

Formed in Stoke-on-Trent in 2023 by professional musicians Danny Shaw and Ben Oakes, KiLNE are a contemporary nu-marching band on a mission to spread positivity and inclusiveness through the joy of electronic music. Equal parts brass and percussion, the full ensemble numbers up to twenty members — a visceral, euphoric live force unlike anything else.

Their debut single, a cover of Peggy Gou's instant classic "(It Goes Like) Nanana", arrived in June 2024 to coincide with only their second ever live performance — at Glastonbury. The reaction was immediate.

Further singles followed through 2024 and 2025, including 'Green & Gold' — a rework of the Rudimental classic which has amassed over 400,000 streams. These were collected in their debut EP T-Minus 5, five tracks drawn from the electronic music world, each re-worked in KiLNE's unique style and serving as a bold introduction to their sound.

2025 saw KiLNE build their reputation as a live act in earnest, performing at Loopfest in Shrewsbury, Byline Festival at Keele, and headlining their hometown's centenary parade in June. In October, BBC Radio invited the band to record a live session at the legendary Maida Vale Studios in London, broadcast on BBC Introducing that November.

November 2026 marks a landmark moment: KiLNE take to headline stages for the first time, debuting their full live show across a run of UK indoor venues. Tickets available now.

For bookings and event enquiries, please get in touch via the Contact page. KiLNE perform as a full ensemble of 18–20 members, or as Pocket KiLNE — a stripped-back configuration of 8–10, available for select private events.
